A top performance at Turf Moor saw the boys continue their determined pursuit of a top four spot.

Levi, Luke and Phil shared the wickets as a Burnley team which can beat anyone on their day were reduced to 57 for eight before a late rally.

Church lost both openers early but another match-clinching professional's innings from Woodcock, in company with improving-by-the-week Wolfenden saw us home with an unbroken third wicket stand of 85.

Sunday's home game against Rawtenstall was washed out after the visitors made 182 from their 50 overs.

The pro was again among the wickets with four for 54 but the downpours at tea-time and thereafter convinced everyone that there was absolutely no point hanging around and a potentially fascinating run chase never ensued.

With all the replay dates taken, there is no replay of this fixture.

So with four games remaining, we sit in 5th place a point behind East Lancs and four behind Todmorden.

This weekend sees us away both days, Ramsbottom on Saturday and East Lancs on Sunday.
